Volleyball Staff

Charisse Cotton oversees Asphalt Green’s volleyball program. She joined the organization in 2023. Prior to joining Asphalt Green, she played at the collegiate level and has coached for many clubs including Atlanta Boom. She was also the Assistant Coach for St. Joseph’s immediately out of college and coached as a Varsity Head Coach at Wheeler High School in Atlanta, GA. As a player, Charisse was a four-year starter and varsity player in high school and a DII four-year starter at the University of New Haven.

 

As a player, Charisse was a strong leader and motivator who helped carry University of New Haven’s volleyball program to the NCAA Championships. She represented the team as captain and received All-American recognition in the sport.

 

Charisse takes a variety of approaches, prioritizing team cohesion, communication, and collaboration. Her performance-based approaches focus on improving individual skill sets based on game day or practice performance. She does all of this with the athlete’s long-term growth in mind – both on and off the court.
