Introduction to Foundational Swimming Skills
At AGUA Swim Academy, our Foundations classes are the perfect starting point for children and teens ready to begin their swimming journey. Designed for swimmers aged 5 and up, these classes introduce the fundamentals of swimming, from submersion and breath control to basic stroke and kick techniques. With patient, expert instruction, students build confidence, independence, and core water skills in a safe, supportive environment. Each class focuses on building strong swimming foundations, ensuring students feel comfortable and ready to progress to more advanced techniques and strokes. Our Foundations classes provide a fun and empowering entry into the world of swimming!
Class Options
Intro to Swimming
Ages: 5-8 Years
Prerequisites: None
A beginner-level class where children gain comfort and independence in the water. Students will learn submersion, breath control, assisted floats, and basic kicking skills for Freestyle and Backstroke.
Intro to Swimming
Ages: 9-12 Years
Prerequisites: None
This class introduces older children to essential swim skills. Students will work on basic floating, kicking, and breathing techniques while building a strong foundation in Freestyle and Backstroke.
Intro to Swimming
Ages: 13-16 Years
Prerequisites: None
For teens with little or no swim experience, this class covers the basics: submersion, breath control, assisted floats, and kicking techniques for Freestyle and Backstroke, helping teens gain confidence and independence in the water.
