The Asphalt Green family is deeply saddened by the loss of employee Pat Perretta, a personal trainer at Asphalt Green’s Upper East Side campus. Pat passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015.

Pat was introduced to Asphalt Green when he joined Simply Tri, a triathlon coaching program, in 2005. Weighing more than 300 pounds when he started, the Simply Tri program helped Pat change his life and become an advocate for embracing a healthy lifestyle through fitness. He ultimately lost more than 100 pounds by exercising and changing his eating habits. As a result, he changed his career and became a personal trainer to help inspire others to do the same.

Pat joined Asphalt Green in 2010 as an intern and later became a personal trainer and coach for the Simply Tri program. Pat was a kind, warm, friendly and engaging personal trainer who was committed to being a positive role model. He continually inspired all of his colleagues and clients. He will be greatly missed.

A scholarship fund has been named in honor of Pat. To donate, please visit the donation page and direct your gift to the Pat Parretta Scholarship Fund which will provide scholarships to talented youth athletes with financial need.
