Halloween costumes were in full effect at Asphalt Green’s free annual Halloween celebration Asphalt Screams. This year we saw lots of ghosts, goblins, zombies, Batman and Princess Elsa at Asphalt Screams. Held at both our Upper East Side and Battery Park City campuses, Asphalt Screams featured sports games, activities and candy for children and parents to get active and play while getting into the Halloween spirit. Overall, we welcomed nearly 3,000 people at Asphalt Screams this year!
At our Upper East Side campus we expanded our haunted hallway into a spooky Maze Madness in Mazur Hall. The haunted maze was a hit with nearly 1,000 people going through the scary adventure in just two hours! At our Battery Park City campus our Creepy Cookie decorating station was popular with more than 400 cookies being made—and eaten!
We would like to thank all of the local businesses and partners who sponsored Asphalt Screams, including Equity Office who sponsored the event at our Upper East Side campus. We’d also like to acknowledge New York Presbyterian for being the title sponsor of the event at both of our campuses. Thanks for sharing health tips and gifts with all attendees.
We were so pleased with the turnout and are already planning next year’s Asphalt Screams! So start planning your costume!
