Many athletes find endurance sports later in life, and the Asphalt Green Triathlon Club marks the start of many careers. Though swimming, biking, and running are individual sports, club members thrive in a team atmosphere. The athletes come together to push each other through long training sessions. Over the years, the club has seen more female members join and tackle endurance races, with a particularly large spike in interest in the cycling leg. Some have even moved on to compete competitively, putting female cycling on the national map.
