Asphalt Green's youth teams have made huge strides this year. Asphalt Green Soccer Club (AGSC)’s Boys 2014 team became the top ranked team in New York East after a tournament win. Meanwhile, AGSC’s Girls 2006 team climbed up to first spot in New York East, and 7th in the country this summer.

In the pool, Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (AGUA) completed an impressive season, surpassing over 40 team records with many swimmers earning qualifications for sectional and national competitions. In addition, AGUA Alum Adell Sabovic represented Kosovo at the Paris Olympics.

New York Liberty's Championship Glory

After years of building momentum, the New York Liberty finally captured their first WNBA Championship this month. Led by a star-studded lineup including Sabrina Lonescu, Breanna Stewart, and Finals MVP Jonquel Jones, the Liberty brought a long-awaited title to New York after a thrilling five-game series.

Knicks Reunite Villanova Stars

The New York Knicks made headlines by reuniting key players from Villanova's old championship team, including Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges. Their chemistry and success at the collegiate level has translated to the pros, and the new-look, 'Nova Knicks' squad has New Yorkers dreaming of their first championship since 1973.

Yankees Return to the World Series

After an electrifying series against the Cleveland Guardians, the Yankees have returned to the World Series in 2024. Following a disappointing season last year, the Bronx Bombers are seeking redemption with Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Giancarlo Stanton leading the way. But first, they’ll have to overcome a talented Dodgers team that currently holds a 3-1 lead in the series.
