Netherlands

Specialty: Dribbling

The Netherlands style of play revolves around excellent dribbling, which creates open space for players like striker Robin Van Persie to score highlight-reel worthy goals!

Spain

Specialty: Passing

Spain’s precision passing, also known as “tiki taka,” keeps defenses confused, creating great scoring chances for players like David Villa, who also represents New York City FC!

United States

Specialty: Shooting

Team USA is the team to beat in the 2015 Women’s World Cup. Brilliant shooting technique from players like Alex Morgan, on the women’s side, and Clint Dempsey, on the men’s side, keep goalkeepers on their toes.

Brazil

Specialty: Fancy footwork

The 2014 World Cup hosts embrace the motto “joga bonito,” meaning “beautiful game.” Brazilians find creative dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques to leave their opponents in the dust! Soccer phenom Neymar is a prime example of why Brazil is tough to beat.

England

Specialty: Defense and tactics

England makes it hard for opponents to find the net. Our director of coaching Craig Hutchinson and soccer program coordinator Antony Blackburn adopted this style of play when they were competing in their native country!
