Swim and soccer join forces for an afternoon of fun for the entire family.
On April 25, Asphalt Green will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its signature fundraiser—The Big Swim! While the popular swim meet takes place in the AquaCenter, on the other side of campus, our Big Swim Benefit is slated to be another impressive event.
Hosted by NY1’s Roger Clark, this year The Big Swim will combine land and water sports with a spectacular swim and soccer soiree, two decades in the making. Beginning with our Olympic exhibition of diving and synchronized swimming, the benefit will follow with an outdoor gourmet luncheon and the chance to meet and mingle with U.S. soccer star Claudio Reyna!
Reyna will be on hand to take photos and play games with some of our younger benefit guests on the field, and there will be a bevy of activities available for guests of all ages, including a climbing wall, bouncy house and a gaga pit. For all of our little artists in training, we’ll have face painting, arts and crafts and MUCH more in Sundial Plaza. If you still need convincing, the popular martial arts demonstration is returning for a second year in a row!
The Big Swim Benefit is a wonderful day for both adults and children to enjoy Asphalt Green’s facilities, while playing a vital role in transforming lives through sports and fitness. All of the proceeds from The Big Swim support our free Community Programs, serving 31,000 New Yorkers annually.
We hope that you will join us (and Shecky the shark) from 11am-2pm on Saturday, April 25 for The Big Swim Benefit! Tickets are on sale now!
