Summer Day Camp FAQs

Our Summer 2025 camp sessions are as follows:
- Session A: June 30 – August 15, 2025 (full summer session)
- Session C: Select any six weeks (three must be consecutive)
- Session D: Select any five weeks (three must be consecutive)
- Session E: Select any four weeks (three must be consecutive)
Tuition amounts depend upon session and age. For Pee Wee and Junior Camps (4-8 years old), tuition ranges from $7,200-$8,800. For Senior Camp (8-13 years old), tuition ranges from $7,800-$9,500. A full listing of tuition rates can be found on the camps section of our website.
Campers are 4 ½ -13 years old. Our youngest campers must be four by December 31 of the previous year. We also have a Leaders-in-Training Program (LIT) for teenagers 14-15 years old at our Upper East Side location. All groups are co-ed.
- Pee-Wee Camp: Children entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade in the fall.
- Junior Camp: Children entering Grades 2-3 in the fall.
- Senior Camp: Children entering Grades 4-8 in the fall.
- Leaders-in-Training Program: Teenagers entering Grades 9-11 in the fall.
Asphalt Green’s Summer Day Camp operates Mondays through Fridays from 8:30am to 4:15pm.
Yes, early pickups are permitted until 3:45 PM. If you’re planning to pick your camper up early, please notify the Camp Team in advance via email and/or phone call.
No, Asphalt Green does not offer pre- and after-camp services.
Yes, financial aid is available for Summer Day Camp each year. To apply, please complete the scholarship application process by clicking here. The scholarship application process will begin on January 2, 2025. Please be aware that the deadline to submit a financial aid application is February 7, 2025. Applications submitted after this date will not be eligible for review.
Round-trip and one-way bus service is available in parts of Manhattan (UES & BPC) and Brooklyn (BPC) for an additional fee. Bus stops and times are created prior to the start of each summer to best accommodate all campers riding the bus.
Yes. We do our best to honor at least one campmate request per camper.
Campers follow a set schedule of activities throughout the day. Each period is approximately 40 minutes long and run by a coach or a specialist who has extensive experience in their particular activity. A sample schedule can be found on the camp activities page of our website. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Swim Instruction
- Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Flag football
- GaGa Ball
- Martial Arts
- Creative Writing, Improv, and Film
- Storytime, Music
- Yoga
- Arts & Crafts, Dance, Theater
- STEM robotics
Camp groups take a field trip once a week to places in the local area. Summer 2024 trips included the Liberty Science Center, Powerhouse Studios, Monster Mini Golf, Boundless Adventures, Medieval Times and more. Campers are provided with an Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp t-shirt that they must wear on their trip day(s). They arrive back at camp in time for afternoon snack and dismissal. Please note that campers in the Senior Division (8-13 years old) take 1-2 field trips per week with optional overnights. Summer 2024 overnights included a one-night stay at Club Getaway, Camelback Resort, and Lake Compounce.
Lunch is provided for campers every day except for field trip days. We offer child-friendly lunches served daily with vegetables and fruit. Salad, sandwiches and plain pasta are available daily as an alternative to the main meal. We also provide snacks twice a day.Please be aware that campers must bring their own nut-free lunch on field trip day.
