Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics Masters swimmer Fleur Sohtz is taking on one of open water swimming’s most iconic challenges—the English Channel—this summer, in support of Asphalt Green’s free learn-to-swim programs for New York City children. With fall just around the corner, now’s the time to lock in after-school activities that keep your child moving, learning, and having fun. This season we're offering aquatics programs for children as young as 4 months old and sports programs for children as young as 3 years old. I really enjoy my time at Asphalt Green. It is nice to know that whenever I show up there will be people who know me—trainers, instructors, and other members.

Asphalt Green has been a wonderful recreation and health center for my family for over 20 years. At Asphalt Green, our daughter attended camp for 4 years, learned to swim, excelled as a gymnast, and now works out at the gym when home from college.

Like so many people, post pandemic I have been working a lot more from home. While this has many benefits, the downside is the lack of interaction with people on a regular basis. This is where [Asphalt Green] has played a vital role in my life.
